Welcome! I wasn't familiar with Fairways Forest, so I Googled it. You live not too far from where I grew up. I hope you enjoy Jacksonville (I assume you are new to the area).

As far as getting along - shouldn't be an issue. It's a forum and things can get (or seem) a bit heated now and then. But take everything with a grain of salt and you should be okay. And some of us (like me, for example) can get a bit cranky sometimes :)

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

I think you'll enjoy Fairways Forest.  I have friends who grew up there--and the neighborhood has an amazing luminaria/decorations celebration at Christmas--as well as one of the cutest Fourth of July parades anywhere!

Fairways Forest is a former golf course in Arlington.

The course failed and a developer bought the land and developed it, if memory serves, sometime around 1976-1978.

Known for its mature oaks on its lots.
