NOt Surprised with Atlanta being 50, too much traffic and low walkability, with a touch of higher than normal crime rates for MSA's our size.

But, with the Beltline project, it is getting better every day.  Traffic does suck, though, unless you can drive at the non-rush times of 2 AM to 4 AM!

The whole article smells of a set up, anytime Orlando is painted as more desirable than most anywhere else. Crowded, horrible roadways (andI-4 easily ranks as 10 of the 11 worst roads in Florida) high crime, low wages... a plastic 'city' with all of the organic fabric and history that can be faked. Did I mention how much I love Orlando? NOT!

Gosh,growing up in North Miami way back when we were just so convinced Miami was the center of the Universe.Never could understand why so many of the family relatives remain sprinkled throughout Michigan....... (and still are  ).

Recall Jacksonville's Millionth Mania some twenty years ago; fireworks downtown,Barnett Bank sponsored City Of Jacksonville Special Events Office activities. By somehow assuming all NE Fla counties population combined as "Jacksonville",we could then proclaim the ever sought most important thing...the next resident....the coveted millionth!
The entire Jacksonville Millionth Mania episode was profiled by Miami Herald's writer Carl Hiassen,one of his favorite pieces,featured in his book "Kick Ass".

With so many long established, proven examples of destroying the very attributes and places due to "Promotion" & Related,why would any Really Great Place even tolerate such profile?

Just think,First Coast Outer Beltway will help make our roadway map of the region appear more similar to Atlanta.Yea Mon!,we on a role now,our sense of worth somehow bolstered by expanding concrete beltway "Growth",having hit what Brian Peeples/NEFRPC once referred to as "Critical Mass". Sounds like a grave diagnosis.

First Coast High School.....well,skip that,unless one wishes to drum up the subject of aversion many have to Duval in favor or surrounding counties.
