Here's an idea - how about going to the neighborhood where the victims live and putting a curfew there with checkpoints in and out after 9pm? How about going to the high school during school hours and do a manual search of all student vehicles on school grounds looking for contraband? How about posting flyers in that neighborhood for a $50,000 reward information leading to the capture, dead or alive, and getting some paid informants? How about throwing the book at people who get their guns stolen from their cars?!?!?!

Squeeze the people associated with them so tight, that people start coughing up info.

And the inside benefit of the neighborhood curfew is when the other gangs / dealers start losing money because of the increased heat, THEY'll either roll on those idiots or deal with them personally.

The only post I'm familiar with is the one that is talking about the incident itself (which I've posted on) ... this post talks about the best solution JSO currently has in response to the downtown assassination.
