The power of public art: Murals show Jax's resilience

I always thought that the big wall under the overpass at Edgewood and Roosevelt would be a great place for a mural. This proliferation of murals is definitely a good thing in my book.

While driving over the Hart bridge today I noticed some huge murals of people on what I think were the Lehigh Cement Co. silos.  I searched online but couldn't find any info.
Edit: I found it on the Art Republic Jax instagram. The artist is Guido Van Helton.

I noticed it yesterday, while giving a friend a tour of downtown and the inner Northside. I love it.

Crazy how you can pass by something every day, especially something so enormous, and not even seen it.

I drive across the Hart Bridge every morning to work, but my eyes are obviously fixed on the road.

It wasn't until I was taking a shuttle to the playoff game over the weekend and the bus was stopped on the bridge that I really got a chance to appreciate how stunning this mural is.

I wasn't the only one, people on the bus, both locals and visitors from Buffalo, were pulling out their phones and taking photos of it.

Might be my favorite piece of art in Jacksonville.
