October is Bullying Prevention Month

Bully Prevention Month kicked off on Saturday, October 1.

The Center for Disease Control states that students who
are bullied are more likely to experience low self-esteem
and isolation, perform poorly in school, have fewer friends
in school, have a negative view of school, and experience
physical symptoms (such as headaches, stomachaches,
or problems sleeping) including mental health issues
(depression, suicidal thoughts, and anxiety).
