The comments from the supporting Council Members are just pathetic, to say the least. What does it say about our political leadership when their main arguments to vote for this is other options are "too complicated" and "this is the only one available?" Not, this is smart, or effective or equitable. Just apparent laziness or lack of courage to to do their jobs. You know, our Council President talks a lot about how a property tax increase would scare people away, but honestly, a complete lack of willingness to invest what's necessary is what's doing it for me. We can do SO much better. Too bad it's another 2.5 years till anything substantive can be done.
