But that's an extreme example. The logic of that cartoon is that police brutality is okay if a suspect is guilty of a heinous crime. Or that excessive use of force isn't something to be worried about when dealing with "bad" people. And that's not supposedly how we are supposed to do things in America. It certainly isn't compatible with rule of law.
"If you're going to play it out of tune, then play it out of tune properly."

Well said Adam, I would add that the cartoon also tries to equate some small discomfort with the chief complaint that suspects are being prematurely shot.
