I had seen Hansontown on a bunch of old plat maps but didnt know the back story.

There are some odd shaped buildings in that area and I wonder if it was becuase of the prior street demarcations.

I will go back and look.

It's amazing how much of that area is now just vacant land, it seems like upwards of 30%.  I can't even imagine what would happend today if the city attempted to bulldoze block upon block to build anything.  They sure managed to do it back in the day.   It's rather mind boggling.

Any plans for the Southbank and South Jacksonville.  Lots of that area was also lost but no one really talks about it.  I've been curious about the area north of Nira to the river but you don't really see much info on it, at least as must as is available for other parts of town.
