Press is reporting that Florida and Miami have agreed to play in the Camping World Stadium (Citrus Bowl) starting in 2019.

Nice. I'm a big fan of fried gator tail!

And here I thought this was a thread about comparing Gators Dockside and Hurricane Grill and Wings.  ;D

That would certainly have more relevance to Jacksonville at least...

Hmm.. Never been impressed with Gators Dockside. To be honest, it was a let down when I first came to town. I'll go with Hurricane Grill and Wings hands down.

We need more Gator news please!

I'm just happy to see the Canes finally mentioned ;-). Glad to see UF finally stop ducking what should be an annual beat down. Too bad they can't play this upcoming season. A new pair of Gators would look great with my new suit.

Only go to Gators when I know I have at least 2 hours to kill...

I keep forgetting you're a damn Cane, Ennis.

I can't wait for this game. Time to shut those lying liars up. Ducking? BS! My personal preference has always been to play FSU 2 years on, 2 years off, and then rotate in the Canes. Envious dummies in this state can't seem to quite publicly grasp the difficulty of our schedule in the most difficult conference in the nation. Privately, they know. But that's cool.

2019, we'll see what's what.

You play in the SEC East.  Missouri, a perennial also-ran, from the BIG 12 won the SEC East in its first and second year.

I'm a Gator fan who would love to see this game played annually. UF and UM played every year from 1938 to 1987, and I remember a particularly fantastic rivalry in the 1980s. The games since then -- 2001 (Sugar Bowl), 2002, 2003, 2004 (Peach Bowl), 2008, 2013) -- have mostly been good contests, especially for the 'Canes.

But if annual games are not possible due to Florida's SEC scheduling obligations and Miami's ACC requirements, then perhaps this 2019 contest could be the start of a process in which the teams play neutral site games every three years. EverBank Field would be a terrific location in 2022, 2025, 2028, or 2031.

Agreed, Hurricane would be the easy winner in that debate.

Unfortunately, you have your facts wrong. Missouri came in during a fluke period -- everybody knows (or should know) that and it pays to know your history, correct?

2007 B12 7-1 (Division Champ)
2008 B12 5-3 (Division Champ)
2009 B12 4-4
2010 B12 6-2 (Division Champ)
2011 B12 5-4
2012 SEC 2-6
2013 SEC 7-1 (Division Champ)
2014 SEC 7-1 (Division Champ)
2015 SEC 1-7

So, that looks like 3 division titles in the last five years in the Big 12 *and a 2-6 record in their first SEC season, then two divisional titles before cratering last year. I guess that perennial also-ran made a greater emphasis on football, huh? But, even with that greater emphasis they've suffered their two worst divisional records in a decade in their four SEC seasons.

When the SEC conference championship game was implemented, the SEC East was the dominant division and will be the dominant division again soon. And, don't look now but Missouri was 1-7 in the conference last year.

I'd like to see FSU or Miami playing Tennessee, Georgia, Carolina and Mizzou as divisional rivals every year. But FSU ran away from that challenge in the early 1990s and Miami hasn't even been able to deal with its *ACC* divisional rivals on a yearly basis.

2019, we'll see what's what.
