^ except that wasn't really the case....the left most lane was barely usable where the new lanes merge back to the old lanes....they were doing some work on it tonight, so maybe it will actually work properly in the morning.

I knew I shouldn't trust a bridge that uses a free email service.

Seeing it on the other side of the road, it seemed better this morning. It seemed like all three lanes were flowing fine.

I'll say this - that is one of the most complex projects in a long time here; I'd argue parts of it are more complex then I-95 and I-10. If that is the only hiccup during the construction, hats off to them,

Traffic was much easier this morning and possibly better than the previous road configuration.

Yep, it drove fine this morning.  Overall I think this project has gone really well considering all of the constraints they're working with.  There are a bunch of people that constantly bitch about construction but this project has been sorely needed for a long time.  Adding the third SB lane and the interchange at Atlantic are huge.

Welcome to roadway construction, sorry folks.

This wouldnt happen with trains ;)

It was smooth sailing into downtown this morning and yea, it seems like traffic was flowing better than it was on the old portion. And this is just the separate feeder lanes for the downtown bridges. Yesterday was a hiccup for sure.

I recall when the new Fuller Warren bridge was being built and part of it opened up (it was still only two lanes each way) people were complaining because "that new bridge opened and traffic ain't any better" when really it was only half done.  Same is true for this.

Now I was starting to feel sad for a moment because there's only a year left on this project, but the I-10/95 interchange project should kick off soon right? *whew* didn't want to drive through downtown and not see road construction!
