My guess is a mix. Some will be good. Some others will determine the strength of the DDRB's spine.

It will be interesting to see what Gate does with their land at Forest & Park. I'm hoping for something just more than a gas station.

Also, there has been a lot of talk of a big box retailer announcing plans to open in downtown. If that project comes to frutiiton then that will be great news for the urban core.

I think Gate got about 2 acres from the 2 doors down land purchase.  Daily's on Atlantic put a station on less than an acre and a half including a car wash, which I think looks great considering what it is. The gate shouldn't sprawl too much, but I doubt it will have an urban layout.

What are the rumors you are referring to? I honestly can't see a big box retailer in DT anytime soon, nor would some people want them. Maybe an urban Target possibly in Brooklyn as apart of some other plan since they don't have a store anywhere close. Maybe a WalMart Neighborhood Market?

I would love a target store in the Brooklyn area.

Very hard to believe, but if true, it almost certainly would have to be Brooklyn and not DT proper.
