The Atkins Group to announce new mixed-use development(s)

It has been a long time, but Atkins Group is planning an announcement of one, possibly two new projects for downtown either at years end or early first quarter 2008.

Some of the details are... Mixed-use with a residental component of 200-300 units, tower, retail and commercial office space... and possibly a hotel.

Location and designs are under tight wraps at the moment!

Its nice to see Atkins has not given up on the core, despite the Haydon Burns fiasco a couple of years ago.

You got that right.  There were rumors floating around about them looking to develop something in the core after the Hayden Burns fell through.  Hopefully this go-round they'll have better luck with city negotiations.
