My name is Kassidy Lankford. I'm the Metro Jacksonville's newest intern. You might have read my debut article about the Burnpile Press (http://www.metrojacksonville.com/mobile/article/2015-aug-burn-pile-press-at-the-karpeles). After much confusion, I finally learned how to make my first blog post, and I'm hoping to get the hang of it.
Tonight I'll be joining Stephen Dare to live blog a City Council meeting, so keep your eyes open.

Along with my internship, I write business profiles for the North Jax Monthly newspaper, which I have been doing since December 2012. I'm a student at Florida State College at Jacksonville, currently pursuing my A.A. degree. I'm the recipient of the Scholastic National Art & Writing's Gold Key award. I can be found most often at Bold Bean, wandering around Five Points, or sleeping under a blanket with my dog. Along with writing, I enjoy playing/composing music and art.
