QuoteBurrito Gallery is serving up its plans for expansion to the Downtown Investment Authority, seeking $73,000 from a program intended for urban core growth.
The funds from the DIA's Retail Enhancement Program will help offset plans to expand the cooking and food preparation area by 500 square feet, as well as a remodel of the remaining 3,450-square-foot dining area, according to a DIA staff report.

The restaurant has been open since 2005 and currently is doing "twice the business than the original space was designed to process," according to the application. The expansion will support longer hours seven days a week, eight more full-time jobs and allow the menu to grow with more ingredients from local farms and fisheries.

Looks like Valentino is making changes around there....  It's needed a little spucing up lately.  Hopefully they can make the remodel happen.

I'm still curious to see how the two locations will do being seeing that they are only a few miles apart.

Yeah,  How was that going?  They had a rendering for a cool looking upper deck thing hanging on the wall a few years ago.  All the work I ever saw was the paint working it's way off of the walls.  Plus the article even says they aren't adding any seating.  Just renovating and expanding the kitchen to help with getting food out and improving service.  So this seems like a different direction than what was planned years ago (and never happened).

I believe that they are incorporating an upper deck to their Brooklyn location.
