Sorry Lake, my question was confusing. The article mentions they want to create an FSCJ Culinary enterprise and office/meeting space for the FSCJ Center for Civic Engagement in addition to the housing project. They originally wanted the Farah building but I'm pretty sure that is no longer an option since Lemonis bought it to support Sweet Pete's. So my question is, what other building in that part of town could they use for their Culinary Enterprise and Center for Civic Engagement? My hunch is they want to be close to city hall but not too far from the Downtown campus.

Did he actually buy the building? I thought he just had it under contract or something.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Here is an update on how sweet petes and FSCJ will be moving forward to redevelop this section of DT http://www.jaxdailyrecord.com/showstory.php?Story_id=545825

I am becoming a big fan of Lemonis. He seems very hands-on and is bold, yet respectful about what he expects of others. I would love to see him tackle some other downtown businesses and buildings.

So I guess The Loop is not opening here? lol.

Great to see this get off the ground, but with the thousands currently attending, the increasing number of programs FSCJ offers, plus the growing number of international students enrolling, will 60 total beds of student housing suffice? I know its a start but at least there seems to be plenty of available stock nearby waiting to refurbished.

This will never happen but FSCJ should move to lavilla and become a state university
