What stuck out to me the most was that the malls in New Hampshire wasn't on my radar, South Florida and Orlando are a shoppers paradise, and the Mall of America in Minnesota didn't make the list.

JC, I see why Bal Harbour Shops sales are at 3,070 per sq ft! Look at their directory, a bunch of Italian stores which half of the names that I can't even pronounce. It doesn't get too much more high end than that.

Ala Moana mall.....Tourist trap.........the only place I shopped there was Patti's Chinese Kitchen, a Chinese cafeteria take out place........... Most of the locals shop in Pearl City Mall.

First of, New Hampshire shopping centers attracts a shitload of Massachusetts shoppers trying to avoid their higher sales taxes. Secondly, the survey is talking about sales per square foot not total sales skewing figures higher for smaller places like Bal Harbour Shops. Whenever I've been to the Mall of America, Ive noticed that it's never entirely leased, much of the square footage is used for entertainment venues as opposed to stores, and it's appears to keep re-inventing itself to stay relevant which explains why it'd be hard for them to get on this list.

If you didn't count outlet malls I wondered if Scottsadale Fashion Square would have been top 10.

These lists should always be taken with a little bit of a grain of salt.  Note that not all retailers are required to report sales to a landlord, and the ones who are certainly required are sometimes skewed a certain way.

Also note that not all malls are apples to apples.
