If the goal is to win games, then it would be a bad idea to bring him in for a tryout at LB since that isn't his position.

probably smart for him to do so.  Great college player but too slow to play on the pro level.

^ I think it is more about him being too big to be a linebacker too small for the line, classic tweener.
