I read through the first 8 or pages amused at how much Jacksonville, FL has NOT changed.  In 1990, I had moved back to Jacksonville, FL after traveling for about 3 years, and moved in with a sibling for a year or so.  I had a close relationship to this sibling at the time, and could fill you in with many blank names or reasons why some of this happened.  I could write a book about this sibling and city council's relationship, with an entire chapter on Denise Lee.  The sibling is very estranged after exploiting my elderly mother and taking over her assets & life, as I've heard other adult family members go through.  I did chucked at your impression of the Tillie Fowler & Denise Lee disagreement.  There was so much more.  Good ole boys still in charge.  Ha, the joke is on us, citizens of Jacksonville, FL.

I was invited to lunch at Ann Hyman's house in Avondale/Riverside  with a friend after we had returned from Nicaragua in 1989.  Sally Campbell and I went to her house, where she had prepared sandwiches herself and very interested in our travels and journey.  She wrote a column about this shortly later, but I can't get over how amazing warm, knowledgeable, and interesting Ann Hyman was.  She's akin to Dr. Fran Kinne to me as a legend in Jacksonville, FL.
