Ya'll know how much I hate the automobile, and love to use "your" money for "my" trains... Thought you'd like to see how I'd spend "your" money on "my" highways too... LOL!

Alright Ock, I'll send you a check.  Get to building!

Oh, add to that the demolition of the Dames Point and replacement with another tunnel.

Soon you'll get another check to build the world's greatest mass transit system.  :)

Jason

I REALLY like the Harbor Freeway/Railway and the Hart extension to Southside.

IMO, before too many more freeways are built I'd like to see a starter commuter rail line from DT to St. Augustine up and running with talks of an OP line, beaches line, and airport connection in the near future.

your plans are interesting but I don't know if so much road building is really necessary, and one FACT that you have chosen to ignore in your facetious attempt to denigrate my views and side step the other thread where you've been caught playing with the facts to promote your transit promotion is that highways already have sources of funding in place for construction, operations and future maintenance, this is in stark contrast to your mass transit plans.
Don't get me wrong, I am not an anti transit person but I am against the financial shell games used to finance these schemes.
I've challenged you in the past to show me where the monies for transit will come from, and you've never responded, and if the sources of funding makes sense I will join the great march for better transit in JAX.
as for now it is fortunate that you are not in control of anyone's but you your own money

Just glancing at it, it looks like half of the proposed "freeways" would tear up a ton of neighborhoods.  Can you lay your routes over aerials to see what aerials they are impacting?

I can't speak for Ock, but locally I'd like to see the $100 million already set aside for transit to go towards the implementation of a starter rail line.  In addition, I'd like to see if we can combine those funds with private sector dollars, port/freight rail improvements and potential Amtrak service enhancements in Florida.

If properly planned an implemented, I believe a highly successful starter line would give Jacksonville a better chance at raising, finding and allocating money from a variety of sources to fund future expansion.

As for our highways and road improvement projects, I'd like to see us do a better job of making sure things like bike lanes, sidewalks and grid-like connections are a part of most projects.

Probably can Lake, will take a bit of time, but it is possible. Keeping in mind of course this is "Fantasy Freeway". Though we all know for some reason the State and City seem to enjoy reading our posts here. I'll work up another map this evening. Anyone else have any requests for me to put on the new map.
