Atlanta has started to build express lanes on I-75 on the southside and northsides of the city, like the ones they have on I-85 where you pay a toll to use the lanes. The northside express lanes are particularly interesting since they have some serious infrastructure being added. Some, but not all of it, is elevated roadway and looking at the video, it seems pretty high up in places. They also are 1 or 2 lanes in places and the direction changes depending on the time of day. Total cost of both projects combined is close to $1 Billion. Is Cobb County reaping what it sows? Is this what we have to look forward to on I-295?   http://youtu.be/XsDFAmSLyGA

The short answer?  Yes, we'll be seeing Managed Lanes on I-295.  To my rather informed knowledge, FDOT is not considering reversible lanes on any of the current I-295 Express Lanes projects.
