Let's get the Delorean and go back to 1993. I'll be the 16 year old :-X.

Quotehttp://Two Destrehan High School teachers were arrested Wednesday on charges of having group sex with a student at one teacher's apartment in Kenner. Rachel Respess, 24, and Shelley Dufresne, 32, are accused of engaging in an illicit tryst with the 16-year-old boy after the Destrehan-Helen Cox High football game Sept. 12.

Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser said the ménage à trois happened at Respess' apartment at 1354 W. Esplanade Ave. Respess, accompanied by her attorney, surrendered to authorities Wednesday at about 10:30 a.m.

QuoteGlaser said the two women were friends, and both had been teachers of the student. Respess was his English teacher last year, Dufresne his English instructor until this week, the chief said.

Authorities said they were tipped to the allegations on Friday, when school system officials told the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office that a male student was "bragging to other students that he was having a sexual relationship with teachers." Detectives interviewed the student, who said the encounter was consensual and gave the officers an account of the events, Glaser said. Notwithstanding his statement, the legal age of consent in Louisiana is 17.

Respess is single, Dufresne is married.

This guy must be something out of a Hollister ad or something.

Definitely cuter when they're not being arrested.

They both look like they have been doing a lot of crying.

Apparently there is more to this trainwreck than the US press are covering. I've had enough, time to move on.

Yeah, evidently, Dufresne's father is state District Judge Emile St. Pierre.

Just curious if the reaction would be the same if two male teachers had had a (or several) threesomes with a femaile student and videotaped it....

Then again, I probably would not have minded if my pretty home ec teacher had come on to me....

It's wrong regardless of the gender and age of the people involved. Even if this was happily consensual on all sides, it's a flagrant disregard of the teacher-student relationship. That said, it's foolish to pretend that many of us weren't were teenage horndogs at one point, so of course we'd have liked to have been in this guy's shoes.

I'm sorry. This is serious. We need to track this student down and....give him his "Luckiest Boy in America" medal right away.

Don't disagree with you on that one - just trying to point out the double standard that seems to be applied in these cases wrt to the gender of those involved.

Me, personally, if no coercion was involved, I don't feel the teachers should go to prison for this, but they don't seem fit to be teachers, either.

They probably won't.

Quotebut they don't seem fit to be teachers, either.

They probably won't be doing that anymore either.
