City council weighs deep cuts. Jobs may be eliminated

It's behind a paywall but the Jacksonville City Council is considering deep cuts to fill a $22 million hole in next year's budget. The money Mayor Brown wants to borrow for several things, including the Jacksonville Landing renovation, is in danger of not being approved as well.

Heard a report at Urban Core CPAC last night, from Michelle Barth of the Mayor's Office, that all the downtown improvements have been cut.  Finance Committee will be addressing the Capital Improvement Plan today.  Live streaming, now.

Please let the city smarten up and elect a competent mayor.  It becomes more and more clear that he is all talk.
