QuoteThe owner of the Dixie Egg Co. placed the winning $165,100 bid Monday for the historic Bostwick Building and said he will restore the long-vacant building that stands on a high-profile corner in downtown.

Jacques Klempf previously talked about turning the building into a restaurant, and he has some experience in upscale dining — he worked with partners to open Ovinte at St. Johns Town Center in 2012, followed by purchasing Bistro Aix in San Marco this month.

So the same guy who originally wanted to buy it from the Bostwick family last year made the highest bid in the auction? Makes me curious how the current deal compares to last year's (for both parties) - perhaps the Bostwicks should have sold the building while they could....

In any case, seems like great news !

See this thread:

Essentially, Jacques Klemp offered $325,000 last year, and it fell through. Now he's buying it for $165,100, of which the owners will only get $86,326.

On another note, can a moderator combine these threads? We don't need to have the same conversation in three different threads.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?
