Is there a Monday Nightlife anywhere?

So, I've definitely learned that the nightlife here in Jax is "different"... I am curious if there is any nightlife on Mondays and Tuesdays anywhere in Jax. Often times, there are some hot spots around a city, on Mondays, for the service industry folks that are typically working on the other "hot" nights so I'm just curious if any such place exists here in Jax.

I went out last night on a mission to see if I could find anything and after checking out: Downtown (Elbow); Southside; Town Center; Riverside; and Avondale, the only "activity" I saw was a little crowd at Rain Dog in Five Points and a small crowd at Casbah Cafe in Avondale. Otherwise, I was partying with the crickets...

So, my questions are: a) Is there any nightlife in Jax on a Monday night (maybe some secret location I didn't check)? And b) Are people wanting something to do on a Monday night?

I can't believe you missed the Landing! It is hopping on Monday nights.

Rain Dogs / Birdies usually look like they have a decent crowd on a Monday.

Didn't go, but I heard Dos Gatos was pretty crowded last night.

You missed the Beaches. Not that I know of anything specific that you actually missed, but it's possible.
Suite used to have Monday Service Industry Night...not sure how that is or if it's still going on.

One issue is that you're drawing from an even more limited crowd on Mon-Wed night. Those who even want to go out are less inclined to travel from other parts of the city, so any hotspot will likely comprise just people who live in the immediate area. On weekends at least theres a fighting chance to lure suburbanites and the beach crowd to the urban core or vice versa.

Most bars are open on Mondays if that's your thing.

Personally I think of Monday as a day to mourn the loss of the weekend, the jaguars loss, and/or get my diet back on track.

Rock N Roll Karaoke at Dos Gatos is legit. I recommend pregaming at Blind Fig for Moonshine Monday before you go to Dos.

There isn't much good about Mondays... pretty much anywhere on the planet.

Dos Gatos is always popping up on my foursquare on Mondays, seems fairly busy.

Can't believe you said that! My girlfriend was just telling me about "Old Wave Night @ Milk Bar" (she's from here)...

Cool, thanks for all the input!
@ NativeDigs: I'm detecting the slightest sarcasm in your voice.
@ ProjectMaximus: Yeah, I didn't make it to the beach on last night's mission but I did swing by Suite and there was a handful of peeps chillin and playing cornhole on the outside.

So, it sounds like Dos Gatos has Monday pretty much locked down for the few that seek the Monday party...

The 1st & 3rd Monday of the month are popular at Three Layers Cafe. It's a slam poetry/spoken word event. People painting on canvas too. Pretty cool.

Oh hell yeah!! I am the first to say that these are the best of times and I wholeheartedly believe that... but I sure do miss Milk Bar.

Ah, the Milk Bar. The first time I ever went there was to see Fugazi. I was in high school at the time. And hey, here's the set list: http://www.dischord.com/fugazi_live_series/jacksonville-fl-usa-33196
