Florida: Jacksonville goes country with inaugural Florida Country Superfest

acksonville's getting tuned up to hold the inaugural Florida Country Superfest with a slate of top stars. To be held June 14 and 15 at EverBank Field — home of the Jaguars — the event also features a Fan Fest and Tailgate Party outside the stadium with artist meet and greets, food and more.

Opening night will feature Jason Aldean, joined by Album of the Year winner, Eric Church, along with chart-topping Little Big Town, legendary Big and Rich with Cowboy Troy plus Colt Ford. Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan, pictured here, headlines on night two along with Miranda Lambert, the aptly named Florida Georgia Line, Easton Corbin and Joe Nichols.

I think we are. But at least we're cool enough to wear shades. 

Country SuperFest should be monumental. Good catch. Just insure the fan traffic doesn't get rapidly shuttled into and out of downtown, but instead gets shown some of the excellent nightlife available down the street from Everbank Stadium.

The whole "country music is for Hicks" thing is, ironically, very small minded. County music is huge, I bet you all know someone with a higher education degree that listens to country music.
It's mainstream music now, names like Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift are household names.
