any report on ticket sales for this?

They announced a while ago that they had already sold 20k, and I have heard through some channels that the sales are closing in on breaking the 44k from before. Get 'em now folks :)

Would be spectacular if we could break 50k on this. Maybe I should pick up a few more seats and give them away.

Gamblor

Yeah that would be outstanding!! I don't know about you ByDefault but I'm getting pumped. Watchin the ESPN Inside USMNT special last night I was about ready to run thru a wall

JaxByDefault

I'm always stoked for World Cup, but  <horrible confession> I prefer club play. </end horrible confession> Yes, I feel the requisite shame.

Gamblor

No shame. Same here. As pumped as I am for watching USMNT, it doesn't compare to how pumped I am for Wembley.

Ehm....
She wore, she wore, she wore a yellow ribbon. She wore a yellow ribbon in the merry month of May. And when, I asked, oh why she wore that ribbon, she said "It's for the Arsenal and we're going to Wembley." Wembley! Wembley! We are the famous Arsenal and we're going to Wembley. Wembley! Wembley! We are the famous Arsenal and we're going to Wembley!!!!!!

We can take this to soccer banter, but I'm not going to rain on your potential FA joy. Surprised if the Arsenal/neutral supporters don't just chant "Tigers! Tigers! Ra ra ra!" for 90 minutes.

I was gonna be out of town up until June 6th, but I was always afraid of something happening that would delay me from getting back in time. I do not want to risk it, plus if the team has any public events earlier in the week I would totally miss out. So now I'm hoping to be back by the 2nd  ;D Can't wait to see and hear the American Outlaws. They sold out their section very quickly.

I noticed that all the tickets in the $38 range are gone.  That's a good sign.

I hadn't heard that. That is excellent.

Speak of Outlaws, they seem to be promising a massive rager the night before the game.... This was on their facebook page in February

"As most of us are aware by now, rumors seemed to be pointing towards Jacksonville as the sight for one of the World Cup warm up games. We'll keep you updated as we know more. If you thought the last tailgate and night before party was big, wait until this one...."  -American Outlaws (Jacksonville Chapter)

I heard today from the City's Sports & Entertainment people that ticket sales are tracking ahead of where the Scotland match was two years ago at the same time.  A crowd of 50k is entirely possible.

I really think a 60k crowd is necessary for us to own a primary roster spot for southeast games and be part of the next WC bid as a group-stage host city. (That last part would also require city officials not dropping the ball on the bid-list, like they did last time.)

Gamblor

Lets hit 50 then we'll worry about 60. Our 44k was the largest in the Southeast, and our topping it would gigantic. I think any WC bid is going to include a Southeast city, and that really comes down to us or Atlanta for large venue soccer.
