Man arrested for beating teen he caught showering with stepdaughter

What's a dad supposed to do? 

Athens-Clarke County police said they arrested a man on Tuesday for assaulting a teen who he caught showering with his stepdaughter.

Police charged Clinton Antonio Ward, 49, with battery, and first- and third-degree cruelty to children for the assault at the man's home on Creekstone Drive.

Ward's arrest came after his own 911 call to report that teens were in his apartment, according to police.
When officers arrived they spoke with Ward's 16-year-old stepdaughter, who said Ward was not home when she and her boyfriend, also 16, went into the shower, police said.

When the teens got out of the shower they found Ward sitting on a couch in the living room, at which time he pushed aside his stepdaughter and shoved her naked boyfriend into a wall, where he began punching him in the face and chest, according to police.

My dad would have done the same thing. My parents found out my sister was dating a 23 year old when she was 16. The guy lied to my parents about his age and said he was 18 but they knew better. Once my dad found out, he gathered all his weapons, got in his car and went looking for the dude. LOL!! Hey shit happens

I doubt they will ever get a jury to convict this guy.  The kid deserved the beatdown, and all the kid probably ended up with was several bruises and probably some swelling where he got hit in the face.

Teens having consensual sex—or, in this instance, sexy nude showertime—deserve a beating. Got it.

They were both 16 here, both minors, he shouldn't have laid his hands on either of them. If she was 16 and he 40 or something then I'm ok w/this.

However, it sounds like his daughter made just as poor of a decision as the boyfriend, yet he got 100% of the blame.

Oh I bet there was 50-50 blame... he just never got around to the other 50% yet...

Looks like neither of them did anything unlawful. Only criminal is the parent.

I'm not saying I wouldn't be upset, but violence as a response to a non-violent crime (which isn't a crime in this case) is never the answer.

Now, if this was the knock out game I say let the beatings continue!
