Are they finally finished painting the Mathews Bridge?

I have noticed that there is something missing from the intersection of the Southside Connector and the Arlington Expressway.  I used to see an electronic sign alerting motorists to any Mathews Bridge closures.  I have noticed that this sign is no longer up.  Having not seen anything in the media, I am curious to know if the painting of the Mathews Bridge is finally complete.  Does anybody have official word on this?  It's about time we don't have to deal with the headaches that occurred when detoured all over the place to get from Point A to Point B...

I saw - or didn't see - a few more of those message signs.

Heard from a DOT source .... they are done with the Mathews Bridge painting.  Or at least closing the bridge for some work underneath.

Has to be real close, no closures scheduled all week:

And it says "early 2014" as completed date:

Now, let's just hope another ship doesn't try the limbo with it again.

They talked about this on WJCT last evening around 6pm. Bridge closures are done for this project, as they have completed everything on the top side of the bridge. The only work left now is the underside and lower parts of the bridge, that they will be accessing via barge. So it's fully open for business, which is nice (until the next project).

The scheduled completion of the project was this summer, but they said they expect to be done completely within about 3 weeks.
