Great game.

Paul George definitely got the Jeremy Lin treatment from Lebron and the Heat in that first half.

Those guys can be downright terrifying defensively when they want to be.

The NBA still plays?
I feel like this post is missing some words.

EDIT: Though it reminds me of the time, during the previous season, I was watching some game at a bar and this guy comes up beside me and asks "Are you watching basketball? I didn't know people still watched basketball." I shot him a look, he then stared down at the bar and said "I didn't mean to be rude" before walking away.

Will the Heat win this game?, they have lessened the deficit. Not a good idea to fall behind the Pacers

Nice comeback. Wade was vintage tonight.

again I ask, when does the professional basketball season start?

Great game by the Heat and Trailblazers last night. So what is a Trailblazer?

Speaking of the Blazers, I'm currently reading The Breaks of the Game. Around the time covered by the bulk of the book (the late 70s), it's mentioned that the Knicks were struggling with overpaid, underperforming players, and that they couldn't afford to do anything about it either with cash or draft picks. Sound familiar?

I get it from my father in law sometimes. I'll get "you're watching baskteball?" or "I haven't watched basketball since (insert 80's year) or since (insert 80's star) retired". I love game of basketball. Not a huge fan of the structure of the current NBA, especially with the cap. I just like to watch the sport.

What's your beef with the cap?

Just curious.

The luxury tax?

One issue is that there really isn't a cap at all. Look at the payroll of a team like Brooklyn. Whats the point of even having a cap?

Even if the luxury tax isn't an effective deterrent for overspending—look at Brooklyn—most owners are aware that big spending is generally a high risk/low reward situation. Look at Brooklyn.

That said, I can't get into a detailed discussion about this. Any time I read an article and things like cap space start getting thrown around, my eyes glaze over.

I'm no expert myself. It's just the whole thing seems silly. And then you get teams taking on terrible contracts and draft picks for nothing. I remember one year the Clippers traded Baron Davis and a first round pick to Cleveland for scraps.

LOL, the journey in which everyone died of obsolete complications like dysentery etc.

Here's a pretty funny youtube vid.

Check out the new Charlotte Hornets wordmark; It looks ALOT like the Jaguars. Someone even mentioned it on the site. They're jackin' our style, LOL
