Stephen:  Reposting the original article still does not make it true.   :D

Everything is still an allegation... even the salon.com article admits it... grudgingly...

QuoteWhen we look back at the events surrounding the emergence of the faked letter that is at the center of this controversy, a strong circumstantial case certainly can be made in support of Suskind's story.

QuoteVery incriminating, very convenient and not very believable. Indeed, it may be hard to imagine that even the CIA at its bumbling worst would concoct such a blatant counterfeit.

QuoteObviously, Allawi's relationship with the CIA is worth reconsidering today in light of the charges in Suskind's book, even though by itself that relationship proves nothing.

QuoteSo Allawi was at the CIA during the week before Coughlin got that wonderful scoop. That may not be proof of anything, either

If and when these allegations are substantiated I will be the first in line to have the offenders prosecuted as required.  Until that time everyone should view them as allegations that are unproven...

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Agreed BridgeTroll.  These are very serious allegations, if true, and should not be tossed around lightly by people.  If there is conclusive evidence (i.e. beyond reasonable doubt), then there should be consequences.  Until such proof is produced however, I remain unpersuaded.

And your total lack of morality or ethics and attempt to be a troll doesnt change the truth.

You actually sicken me, and Its my sincere hope that you share the fate of these men and interests whose water you carry.

oh ok.  Perhaps you will send me and the other conservatives to the reeducation camps then, comrade?

My name is probably on that list for the re-education camps. Oh, what will I do?

Why?  don' you think Lithium is worth a try?  And I don't think you know any real conservatives besides me, anyways.

Repeat after me:  a conservative would not support Obama for President.

probably hang out in the rec room with river, muttering about "The Man", is my best guess, but then again, Charleston, I wouldnt lump you in with Gator, because I don't think you will continue to pretend to believe something that you know isnt true.

Ive always found you to be a lot more genuine.

Not that I dislike argument for argument's sake obviously.

Talk about living in the past. This war started 5 freakin years ago. Let's just get over it. The Iraq War is now pretty succesful and Bush is on his way out; so, I think this is old and obnoxious news.

Yeah, its so successful we're no longer spending $10 BILLION A MONTH on it, right?  Get over it? Jesus, you people still make Monica Lewinsky jokes, and you want people to "just get over" a war that has killed hundreds of thousands and wasted BILLIONS of our dollars?! You make me sick.  Let's just talk about teh Jags, right?

Old and obnoxious news? Wow, okay, let's just ignore the single most pressing issue in the entire world (as far as U.S. goes)-- good idea.  And your comment reflects why McCain is the worst choice ever for president: he, like you, cannots ee that the massive, disgusting spending/war profiteering occurring over there is one of the reasons our economy is in the crapper.

Jeez, what an ignorant thing to say.  Say you disagree, but "get over it" and "this is old news"--- I knew 'Muricans were becoming lazier intellectually, but this is just pathetic.

I take it all back, River.  You can say something non partisan and genuine every now and then.

I know, it gets annoying doesn't it? ;)

Time to put the coffee down again... :o

Thanks for the compliment. However, I really don't think you can categorize Riverside's arguments as pretending to believe something that he knows isn't true. He obviously has a good point about the inaccurate intelligence that Bush, among hundreds of other international leaders, thought was legitimate. Please don't bite my head off about that...

As for the camp, I'd like to think that I would be attempting to escape.  ;)

You might have a point if the war ended 5 years ago. But it didn't.
