Best-case scenario for Rose right now is probably a Grant Hill-type career.

A group of Cavs fans who want LeBron James have resorted to some crazy "Bring Tebow to Jax-esque" measures by having billboards say "Come Home LeBron". Atleast those Cavs fans know that LeBron actually can play that professional sport, unlike the embarrassment here with Tebow.

Despite their record, the Heat really are playing some sloppy ball, yes I know its early and a long season.

The Heat are just cruising until the playoffs. Other than seeing what Oden will look like, later in the season, there's not much to get excited for.

The Heat can afford to cruise because, as of this morning, they and the Pacers are the only two Eastern Conference teams above .500. The Western Conference has nine teams above .500.

thelakelander

True. The East has taken a step back this year.

Will be a lot of Sub .500 teams in the playoffs if things don't change. Heat still waste a lot energy letting subpar teams hang around only to mount a come back late in the 3rd and 4th qtrs. You have Wade with bad knees and LBJ with a suspect back. Need to put these teams away early if possible.

Pacers continue to look downright terrifying this season.

I would not sleep on these guys if I were Miami.

Despite their grand start, they're only two games ahead of cruise control Miami. Pacers will get theirs in due time.  There's a reason Greg Oden and Mike Beasley were acquired and they were not for the Bulls.

holy crap...did the pro basketball season start already?

Keith-N-Jax

Pacers lose again tonight, Heat one game behind now.

Keith-N-Jax

Heat at Pacers is this a look at the road to the NBA finals 2014?

thelakelander

Pretty much. There's no one else that appears to be a challenge to top either of these teams in the East. However, from player quotes, it appears tonight means much more to the Pacers than the Heat.

Appears that way from the box score too.  :P

Great game by Indiana down the stretch. I can't wait to see how Greg Oden impacts the Hibbert matchup later in the year.
