I'll throw it against the wall; will it stick?

Somebody interested (serious) in starting a non-profit pro mass transit group at grassroots.  I've got a ton of thoughts and ideas -- no need to bore everybody now. Been involved in a non-profit from the beginning once before.  Right now a couple of people to sit with over coffee and present my outline and brainstorm with them about their thoughts and visions???

I'll pledge right now:

- $250 immediate donation
- Do the Registering / applying for non-profit status with IRS and Florida
- Writing first body / draft of mission statement and articles
- Researching and creating a list of all non-profits, neighborhood associations, their BOD members and organizing and inviting for an initial roll-out
- Finding somebody to volunteer to roll out a website (I think I have an organization who will do this)
- Drafting internal control manuals (critical for management / control of donations)

Yes, there are several transit items; i.e., Skyway, regional rail, AAF, etc...we'll deal with that over coffee.

Come on somebody?

I'm your huckleberry!

Certainly, it's been 34 years since I presented a plan for a heritage/vintage streetcar system to the Downtown Development Authority.

I've already got a heavyweight endorsement and another dozen people lined up for a streetcar advocacy group, no need for us to create two groups. The only thing slowing me down right now are some serious health issues so it would be good to have another involved.

I'd include a pedestrian/bike mobility module in the group as well.

We can also spin it out of MJ to make it happen.

I'd be willing to join you for coffee and listen to your pitch, jdog.
