The American Institute of Architects is enthusiastic to partner with the American Lung Association for an upcoming community event. Noted physician, professor and author Dr. Richard Jackson will present a lecture entitled 'We Are What We Build - Building for Health'. The
event will be held November 7, 2013 at the WJCT studio in downtown Jacksonville.

Dr. Jackson is a very persuasive and charismatic speaker and a strong advocate for smart, sustainable planning and design.  I saw him speak at a national AIA event and was blown away that he was able to articulate so clearly what many of us have been thinking.
I'd highly suggest that anyone interested in issues of planning, transportation, community health or related topics to attend this event next week.  I think you'll find it very interesting.

Especially relevant topic in light of health care reform, as accountable care organizations will have a great interest in these issues going forward.
