Cheshire Cat

By now most people are aware that there was gunfire outside the Capitol.  All sorts of conflicting reports have been coming out about what happened.  There was even a period of time that some media was reporting that the woman who was shot was the victim of a drive by or road rage incident.  Newest reports however seem to show that the woman was attempting to drive through security gates at the Capitol and was killed in the attempt. Perhaps even more shocking is that she had a toddler in the car with her.  The child is now in protective custody. Is this the outcropping of an angry American public or the act of one unbalanced person which is what some media is reporting.  We will have to wait see.  On a side note, much of the action happened not far from Dem.  Bill Nelson's office.

The drama began around 2:20 p.m., officials said, after the female motorist --- driving a leased black Infiniti – sped into the driveway leading into the White House and tried to breach security at 15th and E Streets, officials said.

Thwarted by the pylons and confronted by cops with their guns drawn, the woman spun the car around and hit the gas – knocking a Secret Service agent over the hood of the car as she sped away.
