Nice list,  I would have preferred to see Simple Man or The Ballad of Curtis Loew over some of the others, but not my list!

Jacksonville certainly has a diverse and underrated musical history.  This list was great...not familiar with all of these songs, but surprised to see a lot of my favorite 8th grade cotillion songs make the list as Jacksonville originated (Tootsie, Come on Ride It, etc).  Sad to see so many of these Jax groups lumped in with Miami Bass or Atlanta Rhythm Section - can Jax at least do a better job of laying claim to southern rock or some genre of music?

I still love 38 Special and Yellowcard was huge for my age group maybe back in middle school as well.  We all thought they were traitors for moving to and then claiming CA.

Seems like the big sounds of the south come out of Miami, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Nashville, New Orleans, and Memphis!
