Awesome news, happy to hear that Bank of America is committing more to Jacksonville when they are condensing operations elsewhere.

QuoteLegislation will be introduced to City Council today that enables Bank of America, EIWC and Total Quality Logistics to create up to 320 new jobs and make a $14 million capital investment in our community.

Hmm, wonder what they want in return?

Seeing that BAC has been consolidating the Deer Lake and Southside Campuses since the BAC/Merrill merger, they have a large real estate footprint in Jax that is underutilized.

Many legacy Merrill functions at the Deer Lake campus were phased out and retired. Also they recently announced a slow down in their work from home program for new employees. Clearly they want to continue to invest in their human capital along with their real estate leases that they pay for.

Word on the street is that they have restarted their floor by floor remodeling program of the Southside Campus of which some is still in 1980's Barnett style. Much of which was stopped right around the financial meltdown in banking.
