I was fooled until Hassan Ben Sober. Is our port in such a bad state that the thought of any new terminals is a joke?? I hope we can turn the port around and get a real story like this soon. I liked the homeless shelter in hemming plaza article from 2 or 3 years ago better.

Houston City Council voted Monday to require more parking in the downtown area. "It would be a unprecedented decision by the city to bring us into the modern age of automobile-prepared cities in America and the world." said Council member Robert Green

However, the move is not without its critics. Some say it would be unrepairable to tear down so many buildings. However the proposal also has the support from the Tea Party. "Some on City Council say downtown's biggest problem is that there isn't enough parking." said Robert Rood, president of the Tea Party of Harris County. It is believed the new project will be fully implemented by April 1st 2023.
