Looks like poachers and encroachment have finally caused the extinction of this rare Rhino species.  Sad news indeed.

Absolutely Mr. Ben.  This tragedy for earth is another example of what certain ignorant, desperate, and self-centered individuals do to survive economically, to prosper, or to gain in riches ….. all at the expense of others who attempt to abide by the laws of society… all at the expense of the natural health and balance of the earth.  Just as the poacher is destroying the stability of his economy, and the future of it, certain corporate and political entities within our society perform the same, almost insane insensitivities.

One could view the condition as a human disease which has for the most part been immune to a successful antidote or cure, having existed for thousands of years, continuing to infect and ruin lives and the environment even to this day: and this, even in our “modern” society.  The disease, existing and spreading among certain types of individuals within our population, has also heavily infected our corporate and political world, the consequences of which, in the form of suffering and economic ruin, being placed upon the majority of the citizens of our country, and upon the health of the earth.

In many respects, the Rhino poacher has the same deficiencies in knowledge, character, and motive, one could say, mental health, as many of the individuals in our current shameful corporate and political world.  Both types desperately need to be found and cured, or prosecuted for their crimes, and dealt properly the sentences due, before we witness further destruction of our economy, a further suffering of the majority of good citizens, and a further destruction of our only earth.

It appears it is extinct in Vietnam, it might still be hanging out in Lao's or Cambodia. I always liked these animals, after a big splash of napalm, there's nothing quite as good as 'Rhino on the barbie'.  ;D

For some reason it was in our deleted section.  I just restored it.

Ron, all joking aside, I believe you are on to something... America doesn't know what 'poor' really is. Our homeless and our hungry are really neither. A trip into Asia or Latin America or Africa or Central America or India is a very quick lesson in absolute poverty and the ignorance that goes along with it.

Elephant dung in ones hair. You can't get a haircut when you have a cold. Women on their period can't fix their hair. Communal spit in the stew blends our human spirits. These are just a few of the insane things I've witnessed. Innocent and ignorant tells a story in much of the world.

Meanwhile in the 'civilized' or 'first world' we see rampant murder, sexual abuses, robbery, assault and arson.

A few years ago scientist did a study on mice in various contained societies. One group was left hungry and had to work to find what little food and water they got, they reproduced at a predictably slower rate and continued to act like healthy mice throughout the years of the experiment. The second group of mice were literally given a midas touch, they go huge quantities of food and drink, the best mice accommodations, and they too reproduced but at a much faster rate. Then a funny thing happened, the mice in the 'rich' group suddenly started to turn on each other, killing their young, eating their neighbors and fighting constantly until there was few of them left. Sort of makes one wonder if we are not the mice in the second group and while the other groups will live on, we seem hell bent on wrecking our world.
