I am looking for older photos of Whiteway Corner at Park and King Streets. Does anyone have any knowledge of where I could obtain some? I have been looking through many photo archives and have had very little luck.

I thank you kindly in advance.

more specifically, look up the Spottswood Collection (I think),

Westside is the Best Side

I went to Riverside Baptist School for 7-9th grade in the 1970's.  They did not have a cafeteria, so we had to bring our lunch.  Nothing was better than not having anything to make a lunch in the house and having your parents give you money to go to Whiteway's Deli across the street.  It was my first introduction to a deli.  Sometimes we'd run over there before the school bus left and buy Mentos.  At that time you couldn't get them anywhere else.

Whiteway Realty, whose office is upstairs, maintains quite a collection of the corner.
