If you want to know a really really fun fact. 

You can actually watch Joe Kittinger free fall from 102,800 feet in Project Excelsior back in 1960.  Before any human had flown in space.  No one knew what to expect.

I hope they can pull this off by Thursday.  This is some pretty exciting stuff.  I just think the odds of getting less than 2 mph wind through 800 feet is pretty slim.
