Non-RedNeck Westsider

I figured it's about time the guy had his own thread, so here it is.

Actually, try and look past the fact that I created the thread so we can get some sort of 'Immaculate Conception' theory floating around.

So if you have any new Tebow news (and there sure is a helluva lot of it), feel free to post it here and keep it out of the grown-up discussions.

Has anyone heard the rumor that Rex Ryan is going to replace Hunter with Tebow at tackle?  hmmmm.  That guy is good.  He can silence the critics by having both Sanchize and Tebow on the field at the same time in some bastardized Wildgoat formation.

Sanchize ?

Not a Jets fan I take it.  Sanchez + Franchise (as in Franchise QB) = Sanchize

He may not even be the Jets' last this season.

Your a closet Tebow fan.   You spelled his name correctly.

Week 2 of preseason: 5 for 14

Week 3 of preseason: 4 for 14, 5 for 14 if you count the pass that hit the wide-open Panthers player right in the numbers

Model of consistency!

And the impressive part is that he's doing it against the 2nd and 3rd string.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

All those stats are not showing the 'True Tebow'.  In fact, I find them personally offensive and intentionally misleading.

Here's that stat that has defined Tebow's preseason - TJ Conley - 10 punts - ZERO punts blocked

That my friends is fantastic production from good, ol' Timothy Richard.

Other than BSC's monthly cryptic dispensations, it seems our resident Tebowites have been unusually quiet so far this season. I'm sure they're just preparing their learned rebuttals.

He just wins games.  When he starts kicking field goals, turning 8 yard receptions into 70yd TDs and holding the opponents to 16 points or less, then we can talk.

He makes everyone else around him better.  They are already good, they just realize they have to play harder to make up for his deficiencies.

He just needs a chance.  He's had several.  He just needs to make completions.

He's a winner.  Maybe in life, but in football he requires 20+ people to help him win games.

He's a clutch player.  If he could actually play, there would rarely be a need for late game heroics.  See #2.

Did you see what he did in college?  Sure.  Did you see how Jamarcus Russell played in college?  How about Vince Young?  Do you remember a guy named Matt Leinart?  What about Troy Smith?

He's a role model.  Great, let him be your kid's role model.  My son's role model better be me otherwise I'm not doing my job as a father.

He has blue-collar values and a strong moral compass.  So do a lot of people who can throw a shitty spiral.  They never made it to the NFL off of those traits, why should he?

Unless you are a Jets fan, who really cares. And when you look at the crappy preseason the Jets are having I don't think you can blame it on anyone but the entire team.

There are really two Tebows: the "Historical Tebow" who actually lives and breathes, and "St. Timothy of Florida", a construct who exists only in the hearts of his devotees. Both are good guys; only one appears to be a good NFL quarterback.
