Lem Blogiver comments about the Jacksonville City Council moving courageously last week to fund the building of a statue to be situated in the center of our harbor, where it will greet the incoming Asian cargo ships.  What council members couldn’t agree on though was the design.  Eleven were proposed.  Still, a consensus was reached about the name: it would be titled The Statue of Intolerance.

Obviously not soon enough. Lem Blogiver already has been kicked off the Time-Union editorial page. 

By the way, I sent the link to each of the city council members, and BOY, they do not like it, judging from their responses.
