Art Walk was as lively as ever last night

The issue going forward ios whether DVI gets renewed by the City.  Assuming that happens in the next few months, continuing Art Walk should be no problem.

Someone posted that article to Facebook and it made the rounds. I laughed.

Definitely a lively Artwalk last night. I was with a group of local artists displaying our work at The Carling. It was a good time and we had a great crowd, even though nobody sold anything. I met a guy who told me he had been the vice president of a steamship company, and now he runs a hot dog stand in Hemming Plaza. Lots of interesting people out there.

I saw a blog post penned by a Facebook user named 'Jacksonville Jerk' claiming it had been canceled b/c the Mayor said it was 'gay.'

Clearly a joke.

I wasn't aware the Mayor worked for Chick-fil-a. 

Just to be safe, we should all go to the Mayor's office  next Tuesday and buy some nuggets.  ...and by "we", I mean half the population of Jacksonville should line up at City Hall to show their support. or else the "gay" artists win.
