The owners of downtown restaurant Indochine are going to open an Asian restaurant in the old Chew spot at 117 W. Adams.

Wow!

Great news. Glad to hear that old Chew location isn't going unused. The buildout is basically done, so it was ripe for a restaurant to move in. I wonder how the Indochine people will do this one...another Southeast Asian place, just closer to the Courthouse? Or, a totally different direction?

I also wonder if it's in response to the courthouse moving and/or they're doing so well at their current location and/or they plan on closing the old one down when this one opens up????

Anyone know anything here?

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Dog Walker

Jax Business Journal says that it is going to be a noodle restaurant.  5 year lease.  Go for pho!
When all else fails hug the dog.

Per the JBJ article, Indochine's not closing.  They're opening the second concept due to the success of the first.  Happy news all around.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

Great news.  I am glad Indochine is not closing the first restaurant.  I really like the space.

Noodle bar! Great concept, couldn't be happier! Location couldn't be better, too. Sandwiched between Laura and the new courthouse. Mmmmm

Wow. I am surprised. With no one Downtown and no demand for anything, I cant imagine why they would wager that loss. :-) On a side note I went to BG today with some friends who were passing through town and there was a good crowd there. Must have been ghosts I was seeing. My friends, one who lives in Savannah and the other who lives in Japan commented on how clean Downtown was and how great the food was at BG!

weird how clean doesn't rhyme with busy. ;)

guess busy was last night...for the 3rd Annual Pirate Party, the Amazing Kreskin at FT, and Sharks playoff game at the arena

I welcome a new eating option downtown.  I would love to see a noodle bar similar to Wagamama, which is a great noodle bar in London.

Keeping my fingers crossed for something like Pok Pok or Biwa in Portland.
