Parking around the Wells Fargo (Modis) building

Does anyone have suggestions about parking around the Wells Fargo ( Modis) building? Garages and flat lots start at $100 a month.  :P

One reason people do not come downtown, the lots cost to much. There is plenty of parking. We don't need another garage. Soon we will be a downtown of parking garages. Who wants to add parking fee's on top of everything else they spend for the day or night. Or, like me, I work downtown, pay monthly and then I am suppose to pay again if I decide to spend time downtown on the weekends or evenings.

Why would you pay on weekends and evenings when the meters aren't on?   ;)

Parking is free after 5:30pm and free all weekend long. During the week park at Convention Center and ride the Skyway. The lots start at $30 a month I believe.

The other thing to consider, based on where you live...  Have you thought of JTA?

Before you even start about how bad the system actually is, it really depends on where you live and where you want to go, so for starters, what part of town do you reside?

If we could add a corkscrew or maybe a full loop to the skyway, people would line up to ride it. So you might spill your coffee....

You can park on Laura St. just across State and Union for free. It's about a 5 minute walk to Wells Fargo.

Wrong.

Parking averages $85 per month.  If you want cheaper, park in the Yates Garage, it's $50 per month.  If you want cheaper than that, park across from the Prime Osborne for $20 per month.  If you want to park close to WFC, then pay what the market is getting.

Not trying to sound harsh; but what Downtown in fact "does not need" is people complaining about parking when uninformed.  It perpetuates the misconceptions about Downtown and further stifles development and progress.
