Andy Griffith has been one of the most popular and long running shows in syndication ever.  That is saying something.  So is leaving the air at the number 1 position, a feat only 'I Love Lucy' and 'Seinfeld' have matched. 

I went to Mayberry (Mt. Airy NC) last summer for the first time, and it was a nice excursion.
