AIGA, JAMA, PRSA and Social Media Club are honestly your best options for finding opportunities locally in those fields.

Thanks Field. It would be nice to find someone with a good hook up though. Me applying through normal channels have not worked out to well :/

Also check Agency A La Carte.

AIGA has helped me meet a lot of fellow designers and the networking helps. I don't know of many larger agencies/in house positions that hire without a BA, have you looked into any internships?

The job market for design-related positions are VERY tight lately here in Jacksonville. Even the normal channels and networking will help a little, but we are all dealing with an extremely competitive industry.

I work full time and really dont have the flexiability to do an internship. The job market just sucks right now. Either they want a Bachelor degree, a million years of experience or both most times. Its like you can not even get your foot in the door anywhere anymore. Makes me kinda regret going to college... (Im sorry Im having a moment).

Overall the job market in Jacksonville for creatives is pretty crappy. I suggest freelancing your butt off, it will help hone your craft while getting you the experience and ability to build your portfolio.
