Hello Jacksonville

Hey everyone, my name is Jason and I have been a lurker to this page for about a year, finally created an account so I could get into the convos because I am amazed at some of the great ideas I read here.  I am from Jersey, and do enjoy Jacksonville.  I work in social services for two agencies located downtown and think Jacksonville has a lot of potential to be even better than it is already.  When I first came here three years ago, people told me that Jacksonville is what Atlanta was 20 years ago ... so I'm guessing that means we are growing and will soon be a supercity??  Idk ... but I love reading the posts and hope that our elected representatives take a moment to read some of these ideas, because they can improve our city one block at a time!

I moved to Weehawken in 1990. My band played the shore for many years....Brighton bar in Longbranch. My NJ experience is priceless relating to MetroJax.

Tons of family a little north of you, mainly Westfield...Jersey gets a lot of shit, but I don't think it's that bad. Again, welcome. Great to have some Northern additions!

Welcome to the Jungle! LOL its funny you mentioned ATL, because at point (back in like the early 70's or earlier) it was being said that ATL and JAX were competing to become the premier city of the southeast, and as we can see ATL won. LOL But well make it there someday

Welcome jaybird, I too am from Jersey. I grew up in South Jersey but my mother's family is from Bayonne.  Glad to see that more Yankees are moving dow here.
