According to it's Facebook page:

QuoteWELL TODAY I MAKE IT PUBLIC....POPPYLOVESMOKE has put in 5 great years with the city of Jacksonville, we will be closing our doors at the end of the month its been a blast, we made alot of friends......the support from friends has been great and you know who you are....but good things come to an end!...poppylovesmoke will return to it origin ATLANTA G.A!!!!!

There was also mention that Deja Vu in Springfield may be closing as well.

Kinda sad considering they spent all of that money on the build out. Hopefully another nightlife spot moves into it's place eventually. That had become a great strip with Poppy, Icon, Chomp Chomp, Burro Bar, Indochine and B.G.

I thought this place did pretty well...  Anyone with inside knowledge?
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Awful news anyway you cut it. Sad they're not only leaving downtown, but fleeing the city.

Sounds to me like they're moving back to Atlanta...maybe for non-business reasons

Yes, I have from a pretty good source that they are both out.

From what I understand, they'll be fine.  Now just happened to be a good time for them to move on.  The good thing is that space should be quickly picked up by someone, considering the great build out job they did.

Adrian, the owner, has wanted out for quite some time.  It suprised me they expanded to begin with.  I don't believe it was necessarily a business decision so much as his desire to get back to a first rtier market.

I know tons of people who raved about this place. I was going to drop in one day myself. That really sucks. Gonna be alot of upset patrons. They got the business for sure.
