"508 resource limit reached" - Metro Jacksonville's Growing Pains

Over the past few weeks, many have experienced difficulty accessing the site at times.  I wanted to take a little time to explain the reason.  Since the beginning of the year, traffic to the site has tripled.   While exciting, this rapid growth is now causing hosting capacity issues.  We're currently in the process of evaluating our upgrade options and will have this situation resolved soon.  Sorry for the recent inconveniences and thanks for your continued support.

Have you guys thought about doing a stripped down mobile version of the site? I know I myself (and prob many others) access the site using our phones/tablets & its kind of a PITA trying to navigate on those devices. It would help with your bandwidth issues too I suspect.

Yes, the urban Tallahassee site is not near as active.   It is a good problem to have, especially with so many important issues being discussed on a daily basis.  I think it is truly amazing to have such in depth reporting on a daily basis.  Keep up the good work.

If you have an iPhone and you save this as a shortcut to your home screen it will open it up as an app. However, the only thing it does right now is show a live view of the latest comments. The links take you to the regular forum. It's experimental at the moment.
